- Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made we can not offer a refund. The reason for this policy is because we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, as such, there is no way for our products to be returned. On a rare occasion we will make exceptions on a case by case basis.
- Are there any restrictions on my use of the JustWorldPhoto photos that I download?
Yes. We do not allow the redistribution of our photos, or allow the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format. We also don't allow use of downloaded material in commercial advertising. An image downloaded for editorial purposes can be used only once. The content on JustWorldPhoto is Rights managed. Please read our end user licence.
For contributing photographers- How should I prepare the photos for upload?
Open your raw-format image in a image editor at depth 16 bit/channel, color correct and adjust the photograph as needed in a CMYK color space, set resolution to 300 dpi (pixels/inch) but keep the original pixel dimensions, save a copy for your own use or further adjustments later, change depth to 8 bit/channel, then convert to the color space sRGB and save the image in .jpg format at high quality. Make sure you don't add any special chars nor spaces in the file name, special national chars like øæå will cause problems.
- What price do I set for the photo?
We recommend you follow our standard price for a high resolution image at USD 90. In the upload application you just leave the price field blank and our standard price is automatically added. You are free to set the price higher than this, but please think twice before setting it lower as we might reject it because of this.
- One of my photos got rejected, what do I do?
Read the reason for the rejection provided in the e-mail sent to you. In some cases the image just needs proper adjustment or have marks (Often because of dirt on the camera CCD) that is easy to remove in any image editor software. In other cases the image is just not suitable for stock and might belong only in your private photo album. Any mentioning of standards of "composition" might indicate the latter.
- What kind of photos are you interested in?
Please have a look at our different photo categories to get an impression. Make sure you will be able to add a detailed description, including names of species, place, time and tag the image with all suitable categories and add as many keywords you can think of.
- Do I need to add a model release?
No, but if you have it, you may add it. We only sell images for editorial use, and thus pretty much anything of common interest that does not violate the rights to privacy might be uploaded as long it is within the scope of our archive. The editorial users are responsible to use the image in a suitable context following ethical standards for publishing.
